Since 2012 I have been making travel destinations posters in the style of the old British Rail designs from the 1940s - 1960s. Rather than advertise the delights of towns like Skegness or Bognor Regis, my posters contrastingly advertise the dubious delights of locations from unusual fiction. I have added text, the 'Similar Destinations Include' section, to suggest locations from other books of a similar type - aiding (or confusing?) the exploratory reader....These posters have been pretty popular, with a number finding their way onto book covers and into magazines.
